Question:
Why do people join Toastmasters?
Answer:
Communication skills are, without a doubt, the single
most important ingredient needed in the business world. These skills
are no less important in our everyday lives. Sometime, somewhere, all
of us may be called on to say something in church, a club we are a part
of, a party, a civic meeting etc.
The list goes on and
on! Being confident and prepared are the keys to creating successful
memories in these situations.
Toastmasters provides
the setting where we can learn and practice these skills in a relaxed
environment. Our members are there to learn and to receive feedback as
well as give it. We help each other, thereby in the process, helping
ourselves.
